Katana

Description

This mini katana is handcrafted in my small workshop in Poland. Its blade is made from SK5 high-carbon tool steel, making it tough, well-hardened, and extremely sharp. Though small, it’s fully functional and versatile.

• Drawing the shape onto steel
• Cutting out the shape
• Refining the shape
• Grinding the cutting edge
• Hardening and tempering the blade
• Sharpening the cutting edge
• Polishing the cutting edge and sword's surface
• Drilling wood & stainless steel for the handle
• Attaching the handle with glue
• Grinding & carving the handle shape
• Painting the handle black for rustic look 
• Polishing the handle & wrapping with cotton cord
• Cutting out front and back of scabbard
• Glueing a layer of stainless steel between
• Grinding the scabbard to shape
• Painting the scabbard black
• Polishing the scabbard & wrapping with cotton cord
• Varnishing the scabbard and sword handle
• Adding the lace
